Option 1

The Lodge at Woodloch

Hawley, Pennsylvania · About a 2 hour drive

A destination spa resort in the Poconos. 59 rooms on 500 acres, each with a private veranda over the lake or the waterfall garden. Adults only, 16 and older.

What is included

Your room

400 sq ft with a king bed, private veranda, and marble walk in shower.

All meals

Three a day, built around the property garden and local farms.

The spa

40,000 sq ft. Hydromassage water walls, outdoor whirlpool, snow room, salt sauna, indoor pool. Facilities included, treatments extra.

Everything on the schedule

More than fifty classes, workshops, and guided excursions run daily. Yoga, fitness, creative arts, cooking demos, hikes.

Someone helps you build your days before you arrive.

Gratuity

Covered by the 20 percent service charge. No additional tipping.

Option 2

Canyon Ranch Lenox

Lenox, Massachusetts · About a 3 hr 30 min drive

A wellness resort on 120 acres in the Berkshires, built around Bellefontaine Mansion, an 1897 estate. Adults only, 14 and older. More structured than Woodloch, with the wellness programming as the point.

Your room

364 sq ft with a king bed, Italian linens, and a pillow menu.

All meals

Unlimited, at two restaurants on property. No alcohol is served, though you may bring your own for your room.

The spa complex

100,000 sq ft. Indoor running track, cycling, yoga and Pilates studios, indoor tennis, squash, indoor and outdoor pools. Treatments extra.

Everything on the schedule

Fitness and movement classes, guided Berkshire hikes and bike rides, paddleboarding, a ropes course, and wellness lectures.

One on one consultations

Physicians, nutritionists, and exercise physiologists on staff.

Gratuity

No tipping on property.
