Aruba sits outside the main hurricane belt, which makes October and November among the most reliable months on the island: sunny, breezy, and consistently warm. American Airlines flies nonstop from Philadelphia in under 4.5 hours both ways, with a clean 8:30 AM departure and a 3:15 PM return that gets you home by 7. The Andicuri UTV excursion on the island's rugged north coast is already built into this package and scheduled for October 28.
Riu Palace Aruba reopened in 2026 after a full renovation, with a new swim-up suite category and an all-inclusive program covering meals, premium spirits, and water sports. It's a full-scale beach resort with multiple pools and restaurants, positioned on one of the quieter stretches of Aruba's northwest coast away from the more congested Palm Beach strip.

Curaçao is a Dutch Caribbean island about 40 miles off the Venezuelan coast, outside the hurricane belt, with reliably dry and calm weather in November. United flies nonstop from Newark in under 5 hours. The November 14–19 dates put you home a full week before Thanksgiving with no pressure on timing.
Sandals Royal Curaçao opened in 2022 as the first Sandals property on the island, on the island's south coast with direct beach access. It has 351 suites across a village-style layout, five pools, multiple dining venues, and a full watersports center. This one is here so you can see what Europe looks like as an option. Crete in late October means mild temperatures, the Aegean still warm enough to swim, and a fraction of the summer crowds. The tradeoff is the flight: Newark departs the evening of October 25 (overnight), connects through Munich, and arrives Heraklion the following afternoon. Total travel time each way is around 12 to 13 hours, which is a bigger commitment than the Caribbean options.
Out of The Blue sits on a hillside above a private bay near Agia Pelagia on Crete's north coast, built in terraces that step down to the waterline. The Maisonette category has a private plunge pool on the patio and a direct seafront view. The resort runs all-inclusive through late October, which is unusual for a Greek property at this level, and most restaurants and tours in the area are still fully operating.
